Are you new to the hat scene and wondering what all this chatter is about burned hats and hat bars? What even is an embroidered hat? Is she drawing on it or what the heck is she doing with that thing?
Let’s talk through it. Each of our hats are thoughtfully designed, drawn out with on marker (completely free hand , minus script) , and “traced” over my own design with a wood burner which is similar or the same as a soldering iron.
This will actually burn 🔥 the design into the hat making it permanent and with a texture. The burning into the hat typically burns to a darker color than the hat or a deep brown or black. For some hats such as black ones I will then take a needle or ball point and fill in the burnings with paint to make the design really stand out as black hats don’t show designs well! The options are really limitless when it comes to design!
Burned, painted, burned & painted, embroidered! All of our embroidered hats are completely hand stitched, keep an eye out for those as since they are hand stitched, they take longer for me to make which means less of them! Snag them when you can! 🏃♀️Every day I’m working on the next idea to pour my passions into so keep an eye out as with time my options will grow🌿!
All hats are adjustable to fit most head sizes! Hats are made with a polyester blend , however we do have some wool hats. Wool hats will be clearly marked for my vegans 🥗

Now what is a hat BAR? 🥂
Our hat bars offer you the option to choose YOUR hat on the spot at our advertised hat bars. A hat bar just simply means all of our charms, feathers, matches, cards, and other extensive accessories are all laid out at our pop up shops for you to choose on the spot and make your own hat! Here’s some steps to keep in mind for our hat bars, feel free to add or skip steps as this is YOUR hat:
Hat bars do not include burned designs, please shop our store or premade hats at your event for burned designs. Due to the time constraints of building all of your special hats I do not have extra time to burn designs in our hat bar events. We do offer burned initials at hat bar events!
•Here’s some steps to keep in mind when building yours at the next event (you do not have to do each step, feel free to skip steps and add more or less as you see fit to create your perfect hat) :
✔️ 1. Pick out a blank hat in whatever color suits you
✔️ 2. Pick out a trim (ribbon or fabric for the base of your banding)
✔️ 3.Pick out cord or chains to layer over your base banding (This is where you can really have fun , add multiple layers of banding for extra effect)
✔️ 4. Pick out a brooch or initial charms, tons of unique options for your bands to tie into or do with out.
✔️ 5.Pick out a card, we have tons of fun and totally unique playing cards in our brief case to add to the band, get them torched to add an extra vintage patina look
✔️ 6. Pick your florals and feathers , this is my favorite part! we have gobs and gobs of beautiful feathers, grasses, and florals to choose from to match each unique hat!
✔️ 7. Choose to torch the entire hat, some of it or none of it , free of charge. This gives it a worn or patina look. You can also add a match book to the banding, I can either light the matches to give an even more worn smoky look or just have the book for decoration
✔️ 8. Choose for me to burn your initials into the hat wherever your choose to make it really yours
✔️ 9. Bring me the hat, accessories, and ribbons and I’ll glue it all down for you just the way you like it!
✔️ 10. Walk out with swank in your new hat that you designed!
